MVBA's Community Programs
Through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers, the Mount Vernon Belvedere Association has several programs in operation that not only helps to make the community more liveable, but also fosters community spirit. Like many community programs, their success depends on public support. Please consider making a donation to one of the programs listed below! In addition, if you would like to volunteer for one of the programs, contact the program committee chair at one of the following email addresses: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com
MVBA's Tree Program
We are excited to announce that MVBA's tree efforts has received a total of just under $25,800 in the past two years from several grant sources to support our tree planting effort. We are using these funds to create and support new tree pits and expand existing tree pits to help our trees thrive around Mt. Vernon. Look for the work to create and expand more tree pits to continue over the summer and into the fall of 2015.
But, as we continue to step up our tree effort, we are constantly seeking funding to purchase needed soil amendment ($5 per bag), mulch ($3 per bag), and tree gator bags ($20 per bag) to help our trees survive.
If you would like to donate, enter the amount below and click on Pay. You can use Master Card, Visa, and Discover Card. A valid email address may be required.

MVBA's Howard's Dog Park Program
Howard Park Dog Park is a soon to be open public space for everyone and his or her four-legged best friends. Located between the Mount Vernon and Seton Hill communities it is the perfect place to gather, to play and to get to know your neighbors. Found immediately above the Centre Street light rail station at 600 North Howard Street, Howard Park Dog Park consists of a pair of off leash open spaces. These spaces feature everything your dog needs to remain safe and healthy while running, smelling, and playing.
Your contributions to Howard Park
ensures that the Park continues to be a sanctuary for our community. Your
contribution provides the resources needed to keep the park a clean and healthy
place for all. Your contribution will provide the necessary supplies; install
equipment, provide fun obstacles, and in general empowers the team of
volunteers maintaining the park to create an atmosphere that welcomes Dog and
Human alike to the park. To further partner with the team or for more
information send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

MVBA's Safety Program
The Mt. Vernon safety committee is dedicated to helping ensure the safety of all our residents, visitors, and employees of neighborhood businesses. Through the Midtown Community Benefits District surtax, Midtown is able to hire off duty police officers to patrol Mt. Vernon on Segways. If you'd like to help enhance these efforts, please make a contribution right here, on-line. All contributions will be used to increase the number of safety patrol by police officersj on Segways.
For reference, it costs $320 for a four hour shift by two officers on patrol. So make a contribution today, and quarterly if possible, to help increase the number of patrols right here in our very own Mt. Vernon. We have big opportunities to help prevent crimes from happening, but can only do so with your financial contribution. Please donate today.
